We all work hard for our money, producing goods and services, adding value to capital with our labor. The government takes money from us, using much of it for waging war, paying war profiteers, rewarding cronies. The tax code is an instrument used by political elites to harvest the fruit hard-working peoples’ labor, and reward it to people and institutions who have not earned it.
As your Senator, Phil will fight for eliminating the IRS, dismantling the Fed, simplifying and minimizing the tax code, and encouraging local direct action to help solve community problems.

The national debt will be $20 TRILLION. That number alone is indicative of the complete lack of leadership in Washington. The national debt is the biggest national security issue we face. Responsibility for the years of deficit spending that have created our debt crisis rests squarely with BOTH the Republicans and the Democrats. Regardless of which party politician Wisconsin sent to the Senate, debt increases, doubles, triples. During the Feingold and Johnson terms, both parties enjoyed control of Congress, and the deficit spending just kept piling up.

It doesn’t have to be that way, despite what the politicians say. What is required is leadership and political courage. As a businessman and entrepreneur, Phil Anderson has balanced budgets in the real world, making tough decisions to keep successful operations moving forward. As a Libertarian, he is not beholden to special interests nor party affiliation that’s sole goal is to further its own influence.

Phil Anderson will fight for balanced budgets and spending cuts to make federal finances responsible. He will expose and fight waste, fraud and abuse, as well as insist that government contracts in all federal agencies and departments are awarded on merit and not to political cronies.

The best way for the U.S. government to assist in job creation is to simply stay out of the way. When taxes and regulation are minimal, prices drop, our products and services become more competitively priced, employment increases, and it’s easier for new businesses to open. Low taxes, a low regulatory burden, and a predictable legislative environment give entrepreneurs the tools needed to create new enterprises, and current businesses the cost certainty needed to manage the risk of adding employees.

As your Senator, Phil will fight for free markets and free trade, so that hard work, creativity and talent are rewarded.

When businesses, lobbyists, and unions buy politicians, everyone loses. A true free market benefits everyone, not just those who pay for access and influence. As your Senator, Phil will fight for campaign finance reform, and I will never bow to wishes of campaign contributors.

As a small business owner, I’m all for lower taxes and fewer regulations. If everyone treated everyone fairly, that would be great. However, there are some people who take advantage of and cheat others. (Sub-prime mortgages, Wells Fargo Business Bankers, etc) It’s what those people do that require regulations so others can’t do it too. As a Senator, what would you recommend regarding the current issue at Wells Fargo.
